Return Policy

  • General Conditions
    • We try to make our returns as hassle free as possible but there are a few conditions that need to be met so that we can refund you the full purchase amount.


      Returns or exchanges need to take place within 30 days of the original order. Merchandise must be in original condition and original packaging if applicable. Original invoice must be presented. Refunds can only be issued to the original form of payment. If we cannot determine the original form of payment, the refund may be issued either as an in-store credit or via cheque. Any damaged items or delivery shortages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery date.

  • In store returns
      • Purchase must be in original condition
      • Original invoice must be presented
      • No returns or exchanges over 30 days of original purchase
  • Online Returns
    • For merchandise purchased through our website, you can either return them to the store with your receipt or call us with the item and invoice number and we will arrange for it to be picked up from your home or job site. Return shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer unless the return is a result of an error by Sunbury Cedar.

      For online order returns, products must be in original condition along with the invoice. There are no returns or exchanges over 30 days of the original purchase.
      Once the product arrives at our store we will refund the full amount to the original method of payment. Sunbury Cedar might call you to collect the original payment information.

  • Jobsite / Residential Pick-ups
    • If we are picking up a return at your jobsite, our General Conditions apply. Call the store to book a pick up and have your original invoice number or account information ready. Refunds are subject to a yard tally/quality check. The delivery charge will be deducted from your refund as well as any products that do not meet the General Conditions. We will not pick up jobsite waste.

  • Special Order Items
    • Items that are specially ordered in from one of our vendors are not returnable. In some cases we may be able to return items to the vendor they came from; additional cartage and a re-stocking fee may apply.

  • Custom Orders
    • Custom gates, panels, and other custom wood work are not returnable.
      We only use the best material for our custom projects to ensure the best end quality. As they are specially made to suit your needs it is not something that we can return or exchange. If you are unsatisfied please give us call and we will work with you to try and fix the problem.
      Deposits on custom orders are not refundable if you cancel your order.

  • Clearance and Sale Items
    • Any item that was sold at a clearance is not returnable. This may apply to some items that are on sale.

  • Return Exceptions
      • If we have shipped you the wrong product we will exchange it for free
      • A 15% restocking fee may apply to large orders that are being returned
      • We do not accept returns of open bundles of soffit
      • We do not accept returns of opened cans of stain
      • We do no return parts of packaged kits
      • We do not accept returns of anything that has been cut, drilled, nailed, screwed, stained, painted, previously installed, or altered in any other way from its original state.
